What is the Tarangify StencilGrip Pro?
The StencilGrip Pro is a 3D printed PCB stencil printing jig designed and manufactured in India by Tarangify. It holds your PCB firmly in position and guides your SMT stencil into precise alignment during every solder paste printing cycle — delivering clean, consistent results without tape, clamps, or guesswork.
Designed specifically to work with the Tarangify SS 304 SMT Stencil (sold separately), the StencilGrip Pro is the only 3D printed stencil jig in India with PCB thickness markings printed directly on the rails.
What Makes It Different
- PCB thickness markings (1.2mm and 1.6mm) are engraved directly on the side rails — no measuring, no guessing, just place your PCB in the correct slot and print
- Foldable hinge arm lifts the stencil up and away after each print stroke — prevents smearing and keeps the stencil clean between cycles
- Black thumb-lock knobs secure the stencil frame firmly — no tools required at any step
- 180mm x 180mm base plate provides a stable, generous platform for consistent paste printing
- Lightweight PLA construction — does not rust or corrode
- First locally made 3D printed stencil jig in India with PCB thickness rail markings

What is in the Box
- 1x Tarangify StencilGrip Pro Jig (White, Black Knobs)
- 1x GST Tax Invoice
How to Use
- Place your PCB flat inside the jig base — align it to the 1.2mm or 1.6mm slot on the side rails matching your PCB thickness
- Tighten the thumb-lock knobs to hold the PCB securely in position
- Lower the stencil flat over the PCB — the rails keep it aligned to the PCB pads
- Apply solder paste uniformly across the stencil surface using a metal squeegee
- Use the foldable hinge arm to lift the stencil cleanly away from the PCB in a straight vertical motion
- Remove the PCB carefully and proceed to SMD component placement and reflow
- Clean the stencil with IPA after each use — fold the hinge arm flat for compact storage
Suitable For
- Frameless SMT stencils up to 150mm x 150mm
- PCBs from 50mm x 50mm up to 110mm x 110mm
- PCB thickness 1.2mm and 1.6mm
- 0402, 0603, 0805, SOIC, SOP, QFP standard SMD packages
- Manual solder paste printing for hobby and small-batch PCB assembly
Not Suitable For
- Framed or tensioned stencils
- PCBs larger than 110mm x 110mm
- PCB thickness other than 1.2mm or 1.6mm
- Automated SMT paste printing machines
- BGA, 0201, or fine-pitch components below 0.4mm pitch
Important Note
The base surface is approximately 95% flat as it is 3D printed using PLA. It is suitable for hobby and small-batch SMT assembly when used on a flat workbench. For fully flat industrial-grade paste printing, a machined metal jig is recommended. Do not place near reflow ovens or hot air stations — PLA softens above 55°C.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Wipe the base with a dry or IPA-dampened lint-free cloth after each use
- Do not expose to temperatures above 55°C — PLA softens at higher temperatures
- Do not place near reflow ovens or hot air rework stations during operation
- Store flat — avoid heavy objects placed on top
- Knobs can be hand-tightened and loosened — do not over-torque
FAQ
Q: What PCB thickness does this jig support? The rails are marked for 1.2mm and 1.6mm PCB thickness — the two most common standard PCB thicknesses used in hobby and professional PCB manufacturing. Simply place your PCB into the matching rail slot.
Q: Does the stencil come with the jig? No. The stencil is sold separately. Search for “Tarangify SMT PCB Stencil SS 304” on our website to order the matching 150mm stencil.
Q: Can I use any stencil brand with this jig? Yes. Any frameless SMT stencil up to 150mm x 150mm is compatible. It is not suitable for framed or tensioned stencils.
Q: Is the surface completely flat? The base is approximately 95% flat as it is 3D printed in PLA. It performs well for hobby and small-batch SMT assembly on a flat workbench. For fully flat industrial-grade printing, a machined metal jig is recommended.
Q: What is the foldable hinge arm for? The hinge arm holds your stencil at an angle between print strokes — preventing the stencil from dropping back onto the PCB and smearing the paste. It folds completely flat against the base for compact, easy storage.
Q: Can this jig handle 0.8mm PCBs? No. The rail slots are designed and marked specifically for 1.2mm and 1.6mm PCB thickness only.
Q: Is a GST invoice provided? Yes. A valid GST tax invoice with HSN code 39269099 is included with every order.
Q: What is the maximum PCB size this jig supports? The active PCB zone supports boards up to 110mm x 110mm. Larger PCBs will not fit within the stencil alignment area.
